Gianvito Romano, ESR1 and PhD student at the University of Vienna in Bonifazi group, presented his research project on the 1st University Retreat organized by the Doctoral School of Chemistry with a poster titled “In Situ Electropolymerisation for Electrochromic High-Contrast Irreversible Smart Labels”. This poster highlighted his most recent advancements, showing displays capable of irreversible colour change with great contrast (ΔT ≈ 80%). Further on, the display can be easily powered by low voltages (1.5 V).
